(Trolox Equivalents Antioxidant Capacity).
The TEAC value calculated for the cosmetic sample was 4863 ± 230 μM.
Trolox (19 ± 1 μM Trolox/g cream).
TEAC (Trolox Equivalents Antioxidant Capacity) was determined using a standard curve with Trolox. Trolox is a water-soluble analog of Vitamin E with high antioxidant activity.
Researchers commonly use TAC as a standard or positive control in TAC assays. The higher the TEAC value, the higher the DPPH radical scavenging activity.
